Annual number of job vacancies in Romania, up by almost 8,000

The average annual number of job vacancies in 2014 reached 38,500, up 7,900 year-on-year.

Last year, the average rate of job vacancies amounted to 0.89% of all jobs in Romania, up 0.17% over the previous year.

The highest job vacancy rate was recorded in public administration (2.64% of all jobs), and in other services (2.56%).

By comparison, the lowest job vacancy rate was recorded in energy production and supply activities (0.15%) and mining and quarrying (0.18%).

Manufacturing industry concentrated almost 28% of all job vacancies, namely 10,700. The budget sector recorded 36% of all vacant workplaces.
