Americans help clean up Navodari beach in Romania

Dean Thompson, the Charge d’Afaires of the US Embassy to Romania, together with 100 volunteers, including employees of the US Embassy, US marines and soldiers from the Mihail Kogalniceanu military base and members of Let’s Do It Romania organization, will mark the Coastal Cleanup Day by cleaning the Navodari beach in Romania. The event will take place on September 27, between 10:00 and 14:00.

The International Coastal Cleanup Day is celebrated every year on September 20 and warns about the garbage thrown in seas and oceans, which affects the flora and the fauna, as well as people’s health.
