US software producer wants to hire 1,000 Romanian programmers

US based software producer Crossover plans to open a subsidiary in Romania next year and to recruit at least 1,000 programmers, software architects, project managers, and financial experts, according to a company announcement.

The company will pay salaries of up to USD 8,000 per month, reports local Profit.ro.

Crossover started its activity one year ago and produces software applications for several sectors, including aviation, energy and automotive industry. The company is based in Austin, Texas, and managed by Andy Tryba, a former Development Manager at Intel.

Crossover started looking at Romania for expansion after several Romanian professionals applied for various international positions and some of them proved to be the best in their fields. For example, Romanian Mircea Strugaru is the company’s VP of Engineering.
