Unusual flash mob downtown Bucharest against homophobic attacks

An unusual street protest took place on Saturday (November 17 ) downtown Romanian capital Bucharest, when several protesters 'fainted' on street in a flash mob meant to increase awareness and protest against homophobic attacks and against authorities' passivity. Several young people chose to lay down on the street, while cardboards with the message “How many more have to fall?” (Cati mai trebuie sa cada) were displayed near Universitatii square. The images were posted by Militia Spirituala organization on its Facebook page. The flash mob came soon after several participants at an event about gay history were attacked in Bucharest.

Militia Spirituala is a non-governmental organization in Romania, non-politically affiliated, which aims at boosting the civic attitude among Romanians.
