Two electric buses will be tested in the Romanian capital Bucharest starting this year's fall. A company from China has promised to give two such buses for tests to the Bucharest Municipality, which intends to diminish traffic in the city.

The authorities also want to follow the lead of other European capital which started using electric vehicles for their urban transport.

Bucharest is not the first Romanian city to start testing electric buses. A two-week test period with electric buses was organized in the Northern Romanian city of Suceava. The municipality there intends to turn all of its public transport green by using electric vehicles for urban transport.
