The European organization of insolvency professionals names Romanian as VP

Romanian Radu Lotrean was named vice-president of INSOL Europe, the European organization of insolvency, bankruptcy, and business reconstruction & recovery professionals. He is the first Romanians to hold this position.

From this new position, Lotrean, who is also a founding associate of CITR Group - one of the largest insolvency firms in Romania, aims to draw the advanced European countries’ attention towards the South-Eastern Europe region, according to a statement of CIRT Group.

He also wants to get involved in preparing a program that focuses on education and sharing INSOL Europe’s know-how. Through this program, Lotrean wants to contribute to the development of insolvency practice in the countries located in Southeast Europe, particularly in Romania. He intends to do that by implementing methods and successful cases already encountered in practicing insolvency in developed European countries.

Radu Lotrean, who has an experience of 14 years in this field, was named vice-president of INSOL Europe during the organization’s Annual Congress organized in Berlin between October 1 and October 4. He will hold the position of senior vice-president starting 2016 and will become the organization’s president in 2017, for a period of four years.
