Tax collection up 7% in Romania in first 11 months
Romania’s Tax Agency (ANAF) collected revenues of RON 196.5 billion (EUR 42.5 billion) in the first eleven months of this year, up 7% compared to the same period last year.
The declared tax liabilities amounted to RON 199 billion (EUR 43 billion) between January and November, up 6.99% compared to the same period last year.
ANAF also presented yesterday a series of measures aimed at helping the business environment. If a company fails to pay its budget obligations due to temporary lack of liquidity, it will be encouraged to pay in installments. This is a way to avoid foreclosure, according to ANAF.
The tax authority will apply coercive measures if a company doesn’t comply with the measures it ordered.
