Stores in Romania may be forced to change return policy

13 January 2016

People will be able to return a product within 15 days after purchasing it, according to a new draft project on the sale of products in Romania.

Until now, local stores could decide their own return policies, except for the online stores, which were obliged to change the products.

A new law draft aims to set a common framework for all stores, according to which, people can change or return products up to 15 days after the purchase, reports local Economica.net.

Big retailers currently have a return policy of up to 30 days. However, some smaller local companies don’t offer their customers the possibility to return products.
