Romania's Sinaia mountain resort gets EUR 7 mln public hospital

Bucharest-based company Palex Constructii Instalatii will build a public hospital in Sinaia, central Romania, with EUR 7 million (VAT included).

The Sinaia City Hall launched an open tender in the summer of 2013 but attributed the contract only at the end of April this year. It received 11 bids but admitted only one, reports local Mediafax.

The work will last two years and will be financed from the budget.

Palex Constructii Instalatii posted in 2013 a turnover of EUR 13 million and a net profit of EUR 3.1 million. It had 200 employees, according to the Finance Ministry.

Sinaia is one of the most famous and popular mountain resorts in the Prahova Valley.
