The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania's National Bank amounted to EUR 32.2 billion on December 31, 2014, up from the previous month's end, when these amounted to EUR 31.4 billion, but lower compared to December 2013, when the forex reserves reached EUR 32.5 billion.

The gold reserve was maintained at 103.7 tonnes, worth EUR 3.29 billion, the National Bank announced.

Romania's international reserves (currencies and gold) thus reached EUR 35.5 billion on December 31, 2014, compared to EUR 34.6 billion on November 30, 2014 and EUR 35.4 billion on December 31, 2013.
