Romanians worry about job safety and debts

Romanians worried more about their job safety and their debts in the fourth semester of 2014 than in the rest of the year.

The concerns about job safety reached 20%, up from a 19% rate in the third semester and a 9% rate in the second semester, according to the Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Survey, cited by local Mediafax.

The concern rate on debts went up to 13% in Q4, from 9% in Q3.

Romanians are also worried about their health and the cost of utilities.

However, the Romanian consumer’s overall confidence reached the highest score since the onset of the economic crisis in 2008.

The Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Survey is an online survey of more than 30,000 respondents across countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America. Nielsen has been conducting the study since 2005.
