Romanian citizens living in the UK should not worry because Romania has carried bilateral negotiations with UK authorities to tackle the issues in the case an agreement over the Brexit is not reached, Romania’s president Klaus Iohannis said on March 22 in Brussels.

“I have just talked to prime minister May several times to ensure that, even in the case of a No Deal Brexit, we reach a bilateral agreement that is very good for our citizens and, on the other hand, for the British citizens. So, in this respect, we're fine. Of course, the best option is to conclude an agreement,” Iohannis said, according to local Hotnews.ro.

Romanians are the second-largest non-British population in the UK, after Poles. At the end of 2017, there were 411,000 Romanians living in the UK, compared to 1 million Poles.
