Romanian transporter buys EUR 3.5 mln worth of Mercedes busses

Romanian group Atlassib, one of the biggest international buss carriers in Romania, has bought 15 new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo busses to replace older vehicles in its fleet.

The total investment was EUR 3.5 million, according to the company’s representatives, cited by local Agerpres. Atlassib currently has 75 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo busses in its fleet.

“We have invested over EUR 8 million in the last three years alone. Only the current investment is EUR 3.5 million, VAT not included,” said Oprea Carabulea, Atlassib owner’s representative. Romanian businessman Ilie Carabulea is Atlassib’s owner.

Atlassib had a turnover of close to EUR 50 million and a net profit of EUR 2.3 million. The company had about 1,300 employees.

The Atlassib group also includes other local and foreign companies specialized in passenger and freight transport.
