Romanian students claim gold, silver and bronze at the Asian Physics Olympiad

Romanian students ended the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2023) with exceptional results, winning gold, silver and bronze medals. The competition took place in Mongolia between May 21-28.

According to the Ministry of Education, quoted by Agerpres, Alexandru Momoiu and Andrei-Darius Dragomir, both 11 graders at the International High School of Informatics from Bucharest, won gold medals.

Meanwhile, Alexandru Iorga (12th grade/International High School of Informatics from Bucharest) won silver, and Răzvan-Gabriel Marcu (12th grade/International High School for Informatics from Bucharest) took the bronze medal.

At the same time, Alexandru-Ştefan Işfan (12th grade/Tudor Vladimirescu National College from Târgu Jiu), Mihnea Butiurcă (12th grade/International High School of Informatics from Bucharest), Robert Stănescu ( 12th grade/International Informatics High School in Bucharest), and Rareş Theodor Marinescu (9th grade/International High School of Informatics Bucharest) received honorary mentions.
