Romanian IT specialists want to create trans-border community

20 September 2016

Several Romanian IT specialists working in Paris plan to create a network of specialty centers that would reunite Romanians working in IT both in the country and abroad.

Romania could thus become the first country in the world that creates such a network.

“The nucleus is already formed; we are a strong team in Paris, but we will open other centers in cities with many Romanian IT specialists such as Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Targu Mures, Timisoara, London, Berlin, San Francisco, New York," said Valentin Maior, one of the coordinators of the Global Community of Romanians in Tech, reports local Agerpres.

The community should operate based on the open sources, open exchange, and open participation principles. By the end of 2017, the community is to include over 2,500 Romanian specialists.
