Romanian company launches local mobile phone similar to Blackberry

Romanian firm Visual Fan has started to sell its own mobile phone, under the Allview brand. The phone, called Allview Q1 G3T, can connect to 3G and Wi-Fi networks and costs RON 519 (EUR 120), according to the company. The phone will include similar features to a Blackberry terminal. The company also plans to launch a tablet which will run on the Google Android system.

The company, which also sells dual SIM telephones, was set up in 2002. Initially it sold IT and household products, and in 2007 it also added software and navigation systems. In 2008, it started producing dual SIM phones in China and sold 15,000 such phones last year.
