Romania wins three gold medals and a silver one in world rowing championship
The third gold medal was won by Iulian Serban in the 200 m course for the disabled athletes. The silver medal came for the performance of the team made of Bogdan Nicolae, Mihail Simion, Comanici Florin and Gheoaca Gabriel.
The results brought Romania on the fourth position based on the number of gold medals it received, after Hungary, Germany, Canada and Belorus.
According to Gandul, one of the two gold-medalists, who comes from the Republic of Moldova, will be employed at the Dinamo sports club, where he could have a salary of RON 1,500 a month. The two should also get a prize from the Romanian National Agency for Youth and Sports, of around EUR 10,000.
