Romania to organize European Youth Table Tennis Championships in 2018

Romania won the race for organizing the European Youth Table Tennis Championships in 2018, according to a statement from the Romanian Table Tennis Federation (FRTM). The other competitor was the Czech Republic.

The competition will be organized in Cluj-Napoca.

“The joy is even greater given that the last European Junior and Cadet Championship was held in Romania in 1959, in Constanta,” reads the statement.

Romania’s delegation is currently in Budapest, Hungary, for the ITTF European Table Tennis Championships. In this context, the Executive Committee of the European Federation met on Wednesday, October 19, to designate the competition winner to organize the European Youth Table Tennis Championships in 2018.
