02 February 2015

The Romanian Air Traffic Services Administration ROMATSA will invest EUR 26 million in an air traffic management system.

The investment was triggered by Romania’s need to comply with the objectives of the EU’s Single European Sky initiative.

The project, carried out from the institution’s funds, will be ready by the end of 2016, said Ion-Aurel Stanciu, ROMATSA director, cited by local Agerpres.

Spanish company Indra Sistem is currently implementing the program. It won the contract in July 2013, following an open auction where three others submitted offers.
