Google has made available its Google Ad Grants program for Romania, allowing local NGOs to promote their activity for free on the search engine.

Romania is one of the 37 countries where this program is available for non-profit organizations, allowing them to promote their missions and initiatives on Google.

The program offers USD 10,000 per month in in-kind AdWords™ advertising, and NGOs are limited to a daily budget of USD 329, have to run keyword-targeted campaigns and text ads only.

The organizations accepted in this program have to hold current and valid charity status, as determined by the authorities in Romania, have a functioning website with substantial content, among others.

Governmental entities and organizations, hospitals and medical groups, schools, childcare centres, academic institutions and universities are, however, not eligible in the program.
