Romanian telecom group RCS&RDS, the biggest cable TV and fixed internet provider in the country, launched on Saturday, November 24, Digi 4K, the first television in Romania that broadcasts in an Ultra HD format.

The television broadcasts a selection of documentaries and live sports competitions, including football matches and Formula 1 races. The first live event broadcasted by the new television was the F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, on Sunday.

The television is currently available only in big cities, but its coverage will be expanded to all of Digi’s digital television clients in the future.
