Protests downtown Bucharest against Romania's entire political scene
The protesters from the Victoriei Square gathered at 19:00, started their demonstration outside the government headquarters. Later, the participants, which included ultra short mandate former Prime Minister Mihai Ungureanu, remained for some time in front of the Antipas Museum, flanked by gendarmes. At Piata Universitatii at the same hour around 100 mostly young people gathered. Protestors called for Ponta's resignation, accused the USL and PDL of stealing in rotation and saying the Ponta and Antonescu plagiarized Basescu in their dictatorship test.
The protests ended without any major incidents, after approximately four hours. At around 21:00 the number of protesters decreased to a few dozen, at the same time a group of football supporters left the area. Those that stayed continued to chant against the Government. The gendarmes monitored the situation closely in both squares throughout the protests.
