Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica pays EUR 20 mln dividends

Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica, which operates the country’s nuclear power plant in Cernavoda, will pay dividends worth RON 90 million (EUR 20.3 million) from last year’s profit.

Nuclearelectrica ended 2014 with a net profit of EUR 30 million, three times lower than in 2013. The company will distribute 71% of its profit to shareholders.

The gross dividend per share is RON 0.3, which is 4% of Nuclearelectrica’s current stock price (RON 7.545 per share).

The state, which owns 82.5% of the company, will get the highest dividends, some EUR 16.7 million.

Nuclearelectrica floats on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (stock ticker: SNN) where it has a market capitalization of EUR 510 million.
