Romania’s net average salary could reach RON 1,950 (EUR 438.5) next year, according to the National Prognosis Commission’s winter prognosis released at the end of November. In September, the estimates on next year’s net average wage amounted to RON 1,939.

For the end of this year, the institution estimates a net average salary of RON 1,821.

The unemployment rate will stay at 6.8% in 2015, similar to the September prognosis, whereas in 2016, the unemployment rate will drop to 6.7%. The average number of employees could reach 6.025 million at the end of this year and 6.170 million in 2016.
