NASA technology used in Romania to scan borders of the Roman Empire

A team of researchers in Cluj, Romania, will use a NASA technology to scan the borders of the Roman Empire in the country.

With this technology, used for the first time by researchers from the Institute of Archaeology in Cluj, the borders of the ancient empire will be discovered in just few months, reports local Digi24.

After reading the images, the areas of interest will be scanned with laser rays from high altitude.

The purpose of documenting the borders of the former Roman Empire is to introduce the discoveries in the UNESCO heritage, and thus protect them.
