Less than 1% of household spending in Romania goes to investments, says Central Bank Governor's adviser
“According to our government statistics, 0.6 percent of an average household’s spending go to investments. And that means the purchase of houses, construction of houses, purchase of land, shares, bonds,” said Adrian Vasilescu.
Companies and individuals together have EUR 42 billion in bank accounts, which is a very small amount in the advisor’s opinion. From this total amount, households deposits reach EUR 25 billion.
