KFC opens restaurant in Bucharest office building
The Dorobanti 239 office building has a total area of 11,000 sqm and is owned by Romanian businessman Gabriel Popoviciu, who is also the owner of the Baneasa Shopping City. He also owns the KFC and Pizza Hut franchises in Romania.
In 2010, KFC Romania, administrated by US Food Network, posted sales of EUR 37.5 million and a profit of EUR 3.5 million. KFC entered on the Romanian market in 1997 and now runs the second largest chain, 40 restaurants across Romania, served by a team of over 1,200 people.
