Kaufland, the biggest food retailer from Romania, opened on March 26 its 103rd store in Romania, in Constanta at the seaside.

It is the first unit opened by Kaufland this year.

Last year, the retailer launched 13 hypermarkets and became the first big store chain with over 100 units in Romania.

Kaufland, part of the German group Schwarz, is one of the the biggest retailers in Europe, with over 1,100 stores in 7 countries, namely Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania.

In 2014, Kaufland was the biggest employer in Romania, with over 22,300 employees.
