'Jazz Chameleon' Chick Corea appearing with Gary Burton in Romanian show this March

Chick Corea and Gary Burton, the two well-known jazz musicians, will play in Romania in March, part of a promotional tour for their new album. Corea, a winner of 16 Grammy awards, and Burton, with a couple of Grammy awards under his belt as well, will hold a show in Bucharest, on March 20, at Sala Palatului, from 19:30.

Corea (in picture), 71, real name Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea and nicknamed the 'Chameleon of Jazz' for his artistic abilities, is a renowned American pianist and composer who has played in Miles Davis' band, formed a band called 'Return to Forever' and been part of the birth of the electric jazz fusion movement. His musical relationship with vibraphonist Gary Burton dates back to the early '70s. The two reunited in 2006 for a concert tour and launched a new album earlier this year, 'Hot House'.

Tickets for the concert in Bucharest are selling for RON 100, 200 and 300, but the first two categories are already sold out at some sellers. Buy tickets online on vandbilete.ro, or at the Sala Palatului box office.
