Italian low cost carrier Air One launches Bucharest – Venice flights this summer
Air One is the second Italian low cost airline to fly Romania, after Air Valee. Romania lost a couple of low cost operators, such as My Air, Sky Europe, as well as easyJet and Malev, which went bankrupt.
Air One is an Italian airline that merged with Alitalia in 2009. Alitalia Group posted revenues of around EUR 3.5 billion in 2011.
Romania recently moved all its low cost flights to its main airport Otopeni, after deciding to keep the Baneasa smaller airport in the capital city for private flights.
