German firm B. Braun opens new plant, R&D center in Romania

German company B. Braun, one of world’s leading providers of healthcare products, will start a new greenfield investment in Romania.

This will include an infusion solutions factory, a research and development center, as well as a logistics center, according to a press release of the Ministry for Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship.

Business environment minister Alexandru Petrescu met on Monday with representatives of the German company.

The new investment would be completed until 2020 and will generate about 250 new jobs.

B. Braun carries out activities in the production of medical devices, drugs and dialysis services with about 800 employees in Romania. The company provides dialysis services in its own centers, produces infusion solutions, and has two operational centers.
