German company invests EUR 20 mln in vacuum cleaner plant in Romania

German company Karcher will invest over EUR 20 million in a cleaning equipment plant in Curtea de Arges in Southern Romania.

The factory, which will cover 22,000 sqm, will produce household and professional vacuums and will hire 250 people, especially in the production department, reports local Wall-street.ro. The company should open the plant by mid-2016.

Karcher has been active on the local market since 2006, through the subsidiary CER Cleaning Equipment.

The German group, which was founded in 1935, produces household, commercial and industrial cleaning equipment.
