02 July 2015

American automaker Ford presented its new Mustang model in Romania, at a reception held by the US Embassy in Bucharest on Thursday, July 2. The event marked the 239th anniversary of the Independence of the United States, which will be celebrated on Saturday, July 4.

The new Ford Mustang is already available for sale in Romania, in two locations FordStore, BDT (Business Development Team), and Tiriac Auto Bucharest. Its price starts at EUR 37,000, VAT included.

“It’s for the first time when we have more than 40 purchase contracts signed with customers in Romania, given that the car hasn’t reached local showrooms yet,” said Valerio Brenciaglia, general manager Ford Romania.

Over 9 million Mustangs have been sold since its launch in 1964. The Mustang had thousands of appearances in films, TV productions, video games and music videos.

In 2015, Mustang is up for sale worldwide, in more than 100 markets. In Romania, the first Mustang cars will arrive in about two months.

Ford owns a car plant in Craiova, Southern Romania, where it now produces the B-Max compact model.
