Enel to inaugurate Dobrogea wind park, invest more in modernizing network
Enel is also interested in seeing a revival of privatizations in the energy sector in Romania, according to the company's executive manager Fulvio Conti, who met Romanian president Traian Basescu yesterday (June 8). Conti told Basescu Enel is planning to put EUR 700 million in Enel Romania in the next five years to modernize the electrical network. This year, EUR 210 million will be alloted for such investments.
Enel has already started works on modernizing the electrical network, which in some cases is 40 years old. It has signed contracts for revamping the network in Muntenia, Banat and Dobrogea, worth around EUR 100 million. Enel has already invested EUR 328 million on modernizing the energy distribution grid since its market entry in Romania in 2005.
