German automotive manufacturer Continental will create 1,000 jobs in Romania this year.

The group has invested EUR 1 billion locally in the last 15 years, reports local Capital.ro.

Continental has engineering centers in Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi and Brasov and production units in Brasov, Sibiu, Timișoara, Arad and Carei.

Some 8,000 of its 15,000 employees work in the factories and the Timisoara engineering center, almost 3,000 are active in the factory and the engineering center in Sibiu, over 2,000 work in Carei and over 2,000 in Iasi, Arad and Brasov.

The company wants to employ university graduates, as well as experienced people in the automotive sector.
