China National Agricultural Group shows interest in building Romanian Siret-Baragan channel

Chinese company China National Agricultural Group Corporation showed its interest in building Romania’s Siret-Baragan channel, and will send a delegation to Romania in October, to launch discussions on this project, according to the Romanian Minister of Economy, Ion Ariton.

The Romanian Minister also invited the Chinese companies to participate in other energy and infrastructure projects in Romania, like Sibiu-Pitesti and Comarnic-Brasov highway sections, the bridge in Braila, and the Constanta Port modernization.

The Chinese Vice-Minister of Commerce Wang Chao said, during a meeting with the Ion Ariton, that his country's government encourages Chinese companies to invest in projects in Romania.

The Chinese company China Gezhouba Group International Engineering, with activities in transport infrastructure, energy and tourism, has recently expressed its firm intent to invest in the hydro power plant project in Romania’s Tarnita city, according to the company’s President, Ren Jianguo.
