Bucharest City Hall installs tourist information equipments in Universitate passage
These equipments, placed in the middle of the passage, are part of a wider tourist information center located on one of the sides of the passage.
The value of the equipments was of EUR 100,000, according to the acquisition tender. The system was supposed to be inaugurated in February this year, according to previous announcements. The Universitate passage, which also hosts the metro entry, has been revamped during 2008.
These are part of a wider plan to install an electronic system across the city which would display the municipality projects, as well as provide internet connection, among others.
A tourist information center has been running in the North Railway Station (Gara de Nord) since August last year. Similar centers were in planning for the Otopeni and Baneasa airports, the old center of Bucharest and the Village Museum.
