Bucharest City Hall approves EUR 950 mln budget

The Bucharest City Hall will have a budget of EUR 950 million in 2015.

The city councilors approved on Monday, April 6, this year’s budget.

They increased the subvention for Radet, the state-owned company which supplies thermal energy in Bucharest, from EUR 124 million to EUR 128 million, reports local Agerpres.

The subvention for RATB, the public transport operator in Bucharest, went up from EUR 119 million to EUR 123 million.

The City Hall has allocated EUR 17.4 million to modernize its old headquarters on the Elisabeta Blvd, EUR 1.9 million for the Flamaropol ice skating rink, and EUR 4.5 million for the Basarab Overpass.

The City Hall has also increased the budget to build 11 new kindergartens, from EUR 1.7 million to EUR 3.1 million, and has allocated EUR 4 million to consolidate 21 buildings.
