Azeri oil company invests EUR 1 mln in new gas station in Romania

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic SOCAR has opened the 32nd gas station in Romania, in the Sibiu county.

The investment was worth about EUR 1 million, according to a company’s press release.

SOCAR increased its share capital by over EUR 50 million last year.

The gas station in Sibiu, which has created 13 jobs, has a store and a dining area, called Cafe Nar. It serves ‘sand coffee’ and pomegranate juice, which are traditional of the Azeri cuisine.

SOCAR has gas stations in the Botosani, Suceava, Neamt, Iasi, Bihor, Bistrita, Buzau, Bacau, Vrancea, Timis, Ilfov, Cluj, Valcea, Arad and Sibiu counties.
