AirHelp enters Romanian market

31 August 2017

AirHelp, active in the recovery of damages caused by airline delays, will officially enter the Romanian market. It will open an office in September.

A tourist whose plane has a delay of over four hours can ask for damages ranging between EUR 100 and EUR 600 from the airline.

AirHelp has already recruited a country manager for Romania this month. Romania will become the 16th country where AirHelp opens office.

Passengers can recover their money even for delayed flights from up to three years ago if they still have the boarding pass, according to AirHelp representatives.

The company announced that it would also provide assistance to the Romanians affected by the recent delay of the TAP Portugal flight. Thirty-five Romanian tourists were blocked in Lisbon for several days since Saturday, August 26. They were returning from a holiday in Madeira, flying back to Bucharest through Lisbon. TAP Portugal, the airline carrying them, canceled their flights several times. The tourists returned only on Monday evening.
