Best Film Fest, a film festival which will reward the best Romanian movies and actors of 2010 will take place in Bucharest between January 28 and February 3. The 11th edition of the festival will be organized at the Studio cinema in Bucharest.

The European Commission has approved a EUR 80.6 million state aid scheme for the Romanian cinema production. The EC has OKed the Romanian state's scheme which consists in offering interest free loans and non-reimbursable loans for the production of Romanian movies

The documentary will feature Romanian brands like Relaxa the mattress, Dragasani sneakers, Pegas the bicycle, Mobra the motorcycle, the Fieni bulbs and Ileana the sewing machine, which were once the stars of the Romanian golden era. The documentary will also have English subtitles.

Romania short film Stopover, directed by Ioana Uricaru, has been included in the competition for the Sundance International Film festival. The film has been nominated in the International Narrative Shorts category, along with other 14 films.
