Star Foods expands manufacturing unit in Romania with EUR 2.5 mln
The investment in the new warehouse amounts to EUR 2.5 million. The new facility will have a total area of around 4,500 sqm and include a finished products warehouse, in connection with the existing facility, an expedition area, and office and employee welfare areas. The warehouse will be finalized by mid-2012.
“This new facility will contribute to the further development and expansion of Star Foods in Romania,” said Randy Tharp, Managing Director of Epstein Architecture & Engineering.
Active in the Romanian market for over five years, Epstein developed projects for various international clients, such as Lufkin, Cameron, Andrew Corporation, Emerson and Petrom.
Star Foods' facility in Romania produces Lays Potato Chips and Star brand popcorn, nuts, and other snacks foods. PepsiCo entered the Romanian market in 2004 through acquiring the company Star Foods, present in Romania since 1993.
