21 November 2014

Spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Lukashevich, expressed hope that after the election of the new President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, the two countries will experience better relationships.

"We hope for a major change and that we will outrun the break caused by the attitude of the Romanian authorities, criticizing Russia's position not only in the Ukrainian crisis, but also on other international issues. Russia is always open to collaboration with neighboring countries, if it is built on the principles of mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs,”he said, cited by local Agerpres.
