Romania's Health Insurance House organizes EUR 37 mln IT tenders

The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) will organize in March tenders for acquiring two IT systems.

These will manage the prescriptions for narcotics and non-reimbursable drugs, as well as the medical leaves and reference tickets. They are worth EUR 37 million (VAT included), reports local Mediafax.

Both contracts are funded through non-reimbursable European funds and have an 8-month duration.

In February 2012, the joint venture HP Romania and Novensys Corporation won the deal to introduce electronic health insurance cards. The contract was worth EUR 25 million.
