Romania's Government OKs Border Cooperation Program with Hungary

The Romanian Government approved on April 29 the Border Cooperation Program with Hungary through a Memorandum.

The program has a EUR 232 million budget, EUR 189 of which come from the European Regional Development Fund while the rest is national co-financing. It aims to support the development of the border area.

The program wants to improve accessibility, mobility, promote employment and invest in medical and social infrastructure, according to the Government. The Romanian counties included in the project are Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad and Timis.
