Romania finished 12th at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, when Paula Seling & OVI’s Miracle song gathered 72 points. Most points came from the Republic of Moldova - 12, Spain, Austria, Israel and Malta - 8 points each.

On a Facebook post, Romanian singer Paula Seling said: “I’m happy I had the opportunity to sing for Romania, for people with beautiful dreams, with high desires and thoughts. I dreamed of a miracle…maybe it was not its time”.

The competition’s final will be organized in Austria next year, after the country’s Conchita Wurst (nicknamed the Bearded Woman) won the first spot this year, with 290 points for Rise like a Phoenix.

The Netherlands ranked second with 238 points, followed by Sweden with 218 points.

Paula Seling and Ovi previously represented Romania at Eurovision in 2010, when they’ve ranked third.
