Romania drops four positions in public policies ranking

Romania ranked 34th out of 41 countries in a ranking on public policies, down four positions compared to last year.

The study takes into consideration economic, social, and environmental policies. It was carried out by the Bertelsmann Foundation and includes countries from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the EU. In 2014, Romania ranked 30th.

The ranking is led by the Nordic countries, with Sweden, Denmark and Norway ranking first. Among the Central and Eastern European countries, Romania is surpassed by the Czech Republic (20th) and Poland (24th), but ranks better than Hungary (36th).
