Romania at the bottom in Europe for press freedom

Romania remains among countries with a partially free press. It ranked 84th among 199 countries and territories in 2014 for press freedom, same as the previous year, according to a Freedom House report on press freedom for 2014.

Romania occupies the same position as the Dominican Republic.

In Europe, Romania ranks 36th among 42 countries, followed only by Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Macedonia and Turkey. Croatia and Serbia rank 34th, Bulgaria 32nd, Hungary 31st, Italy 30st.
