Swiss group Nestle will continue to expand its plant in Timisoara, western Romania.

The factory, which the company opened in 2000, has produced every year more than 90 million wafers.

The expansion will allow the Swiss group to include a new production line for beverages, reports local Capital.ro.

The plant already expanded by 1,600 sqm with new production lines for wafers and beverages.

Nestle has invested EUR 10 million in the Romanian factory in the last five years. The Timisoara plant hosts 350 of the 1,000 employees Nestle has in Romania.

The company has been present in Romania since 1995.
