Romania’s George Enescu Festival launches mobile app

Romania’s George Enescu International Festival now has a special mobile app, adapted for mobile phones with large screens and high resolution.

The new app offers users real-time information about this year’s edition of the event, pictures, news and articles, and information about well-known Romanian composer George Enescu. It can be downloaded for free from Google Play and App Store.

“The app is available in English, to also facilitate the international public’s access to the George Enescu International Festival events and to composer George Enescu’s values, promoted by the festival. On average, 20,000 foreign tourists come to Bucharest for the Enescu Festival,” reads a press statement.

Some 3,000 foreign and local artists will come to the 2015 edition of the Enescu Festival. Israel Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, San Francisco Symphony, London Symphony  Orchestra, Sankt Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and Bayerische Staatsoper are just some of the orchestras that will play George Enescu compositions during the event.
